As a key member of the KBS Transformation team, the Marketing and Recruitment Manager is the ‘business partner’ and main point of contact for all things recruitment (marketing, admissions, international recruitment etc.) to drive forward the recruitment strategy and operational plans to achieve the aims, objectives and KPIs of the KBS Transformation Strategy.
Working alongside the Director of KBS Transformation, the Director of International Recruitment, the AD of Marketing and Recruitment and other KBS colleagues, they will be responsible for supporting the transformation and making a key contribution to the University's and Divisional success in this area.
What you will do :
- Provide professional services leadership for the successful delivery of marketing and recruitment aspects of the KBS Transformation Strategy; ensuring the team has effective and efficient operational procedures in place to deliver the operational and tactical plan
- Play an active role in the KBS Transformation team; engaging with and supporting the Director of KBS Transformation, the Director of International Recruitment, the AD of Marketing & Recruitment and other KBS colleagues to take a lead and set the strategic direction of the Marketing and Recruitment function and specifics aligned to Kent 2030
- Lead, motivate and develop relevant staff, providing clear objectives and managing performance against these, to ensure that staff are appropriately motivated and trained to carry out their responsibilities to the required standards in terms of service expectations
- In liaison with Heads of Profession across the Future Students & Brand Directorate, develop and implement transformation strategies (informed by market research), that are able to respond to changes in the student demographic and market position ensuring that opportunities for recruitment and conversion are maximised so as to increase student recruitment and future income generation into the Division aligned to Kent 2030
What you will need :
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Marketing/Chartered Institute of Public Relations or equivalent experience and/or professional qualification in marketing or communications
- Demonstrable experience of working at a senior level in a marketing or communications setting
- Knowledge and understanding of marketing, recruitment and/or communications in the Higher Education sector
- Experience of leading and managing an effective marketing, recruitment and communications department, generating powerful campaigns in line with marketing and recruitment strategy
