We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as a Senior Admissions Officer within our Admissions Strategy Enhancement Team (ASET), you will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies to enhance the admissions process and attract the best and brightest students to our institution. This is a fixed-term appointment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in admissions. You should have a deep understanding of the higher education landscape and be familiar with best practices in admissions and recruitment. As a Senior Admissions Officer, you will be responsible for leading a team of admissions professionals and working closely with other departments to develop and implement comprehensive admissions strategies. You will also be responsible for analysing data and trends to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement. In addition to your professional experience, we are looking for someone who is a strong communicator and a natural leader. You should be able to build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

Your priorities will include:

• Support for high level institutional committees with Recruitment and Admissions focus (for example International Committee, Student Recruitment and Admissions Committee, Fees and Scholarships, etc).
• Support across a range of scholarships to establish criteria; manage and report on budgets and in the case of our Humanitarian Scholarship membership of the University’s Humanitarian Scholarships Oversight Board
• Management of the update schedule of Recruitment and Admissions and related policies and support in developing high quality public information regarding these policies
• Supporting Admissions and Recruitment Heads in assessing and communicating key performance metrics to all relevant internal stakeholders.
• Development and refinement, and implementation of comprehensive admissions strategies aligned with the university's mission and goals.

Who we’re looking for:

• Degree level qualification, and / or considerable Higher Education Admissions experience.
• An understanding of the legislative and compliance parameters that governs HE Admissions.
• Excellent project management skills– organised, effective and able to manage multiple projects within tight timescales, whilst maintaining high standards.
• Excellent relationship building and people management skills, confident and experienced in working in a wide range of situations and with people at all levels with a strong sense of sensitivity and diplomacy
• Professional credibility, excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to develop good working relations with colleagues across the University.
• A strong team player with the ability to work within multi-functional teams in support of business objectives.
