We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant/Associate to join the UKRI-funded Engineering Biology mission award project titled ‘Synthetically engineered microalgae for improved gut function and human health’. The project aims to explore the nutritional benefits and opportunities stemming from enhanced / optimised micro-algal production, using models of human health.
The post holder will work with Professor Emilie Combet, in collaboration with the wider team led by Professor Ian Watson.
Candidates should have specialist theoretical and practical knowledge of Nutrition, Microbiology or related disciplines.
This position is fixed term until 13th February 2026
